The History of the J J McCarry Division 3, The Marley Trophy.

The Marley Trophy was started in 1999 by members of Windyhill and especially Bobby Learmonth
who persuaded a friend at Marley roofing company into donating the trophy.

The league was run for the development of younger juniors, in the Bearsden, Milngavie and Clydebank
areas, not quite ready to play in the J J McCarry or McIntyre Junior Leagues.
The League was discontinued in 2019 and the Trophy was used for the New J J McCarry League in 2024.

In 2024 the number of clubs entering the J J McCarry League exceeded seven so an additional League,
The J J McCarry League Division 3 was formed.
